Most of our dental imaging services are very straight forward. The actual scans take anywhere between 5 to 20 seconds each. During this period the patient is allowed to breathe as usual without moving. Patients are advised to remove any head or neck jewellery. This is mainly to help us obtain the best possible scan for you. If you cannot remove a certain piecing it will not prevent you from being able go through with the examination. We ask that you also remember to remove tongue piercings, hearing aids and removable metallic dentures prior to the examination. The most important thing to remember is to bring your X-ray referral form that has been signed by your referring dentist. Most dental x-rays are fairly straight forward, and require no other preparation other than turning up on time for your appointment and keeping still during the scan.
